The Cedar Cabin has one bedroom with a queen-sized bed, plus a full-sized pull out couch in the living room, accommodating as many as four people. Cedar also has a dishwasher and a clawfoot tub, as well as a back porch and a spacious fenced-in backyard.
All of the kitchens include a microwave and a toaster, as well as cookware, dishes and flatware. In addition to a coffeemaker and a tea kettle, you will find a variety of teas, coffee, half & half and sugar.
In the bathroom, you'll find a tiled walk-in shower and a variety of complimentary toiletries. The cabins are fully furnished with linens and towels. While we do not offer housekeeping services during your stay, we will be happy to provide fresh towels and linens as needed.
Outside, each cabin has a six-foot porch with a rocking chair, a pair of Adirondack chairs, and a gravel picnic area with a picnic table, fire ring and standing grill. In the gazebo, you'll find a 6-person Jacuzzi hot tub available for everybody to share.
Your cabin will also be stocked with a bundle of firewood and a small bag of charcoal. Please do not bring firewood with you, as transportation of firewood is a major contributor to the spread of invasive insect species.
Your host Sara was raised on a farm outside of Pittsburgh, but she has lived all over the world, including Philadelphia, Chicago and Melbourne, Australia. Nowadays she splits her time between Manhattan and the Finger Lakes, and in addition to the Mill Creek Cabins, she owns and operates the Brookside Cottage in nearby Interlaken.
Sara loves to travel, and she loves to help fellow travelers enjoy their well-earned vacation. Her favorite spots in the Finger Lakes include the Buttermilk Falls State Park, Silver Thread Winery, Bandwagon Brewery, and Fingerlicks Ice Cream.
The Mill Creek Cabins have been locally owned and operated since they were built in 2006. Sara purchased the property in 2018 after Mike and Brenda retired, and she's excited to continue their work taking care of the land.
