Thank you for staying with us—and for loving the experience. Our cabins strike a balance between rustic charm and real comfort: cozier than camping, more relaxed than a hotel, and thoughtfully designed to feel like home in the middle of the forest.

We’re always listening and always improving, and this month we made two major upgrades that dramatically improve the “country living” experience—and your next stay.

🌲 Cedar Cabin

✔️ The sulphur smell is GONE.✔️ Permanently. For real. Forever.

🚿 Aspen & Basswood Cabins

✔️ Hot water now reaches the shower INSTANTLY.✔️ Not “five minutes later.” Instantly.

If either of those issues ever kept you from booking again—today is your lucky day.

Into details? You don’t need them, but I’m proud, so I’ll share in case you want to know!

For years, I’ve explored ways of fixing those known challenges. The issue always came down to space. With our small little cabins, there isn’t enough space for hot water heaters and full size chlorination systems.

Two things finally changed:

Technology improvedOur maintenance + contractor team is incredible

Cedar Cabin:The reason we couldn’t previously chlorinate the water wasn’t desire—it was space. The systems available simply didn’t fit without major renovations. This year, our partners at Lowes Soft Water in Trumansburg were able to source a newly available system that fit perfectly into our existing space. That option didn’t exist the last time we looked—and now the sulphur smell is history.

Aspen & Basswood Cabins:The on-demand hot water heater lives in the shed between the cabins, which meant a long wait for hot water to reach the shower. There wasn’t room inside the cabins for a traditional solution… until our maintenance wizard came up with one. We added a discreet 6-gallon heater tucked into the bunk room, keeping the water hot while it travels from the shed. Result? Instant hot showers. Finally.

We are thrilled with these two changes - we hope you are too!!
